Caries infection has increased in young adult populations and continues to be a major disease for children. This course discusses the impact of Nano Technology on today’s preventative and restorative materials. Attendees will have a “hands-on forum” to provide their dental teams with new findings on today’s desensitizers, sealants, and fluoride treatments to combat patient’s current symptoms and prevention of future issues.

COURSE OUTLINE….
*Gain an understanding of new research findings that can contribute to the evidence for application of varnish with chemotherapeutic fluoride treatment
*Understand the findings of recent research exploring how dental practitioners are using scientific evidence in their patient treatment decisions and patient counseling
*Learn about the method of applying Xylitol containing, natural and artificial based fluoride treatments and Nano Hybrid Sealants and the evidence showing the effective changes they can have on today’s patients

How “small “can they go…nano technology and the advancement in bonding and composites.
Course Outline…
*This lecture will review and discuss the different types of Nano filler technologies used in some of today’s resin based materials. Adhesives, Flowable and Universal Composites will be explored along with the clinical benefits of nano-inclusion. A focus will be on understanding the chemical interaction and construction of the materials as those qualities relate to the clinical efficacy and success of the procedures involved.

Step by Step instructions on how to fabricate an anterior “nano bis acrylic” temporary bridge
Esthetic restorative dentistry with indirect restorations is a treatment that is in high demand by patients and clinicians.

This course explores the use of Nano-technology in bis-acryls/composite and how they are impacting today’s dental staff.

Key techniques are shown with update products that help streamline chairside temporization of single unit and multi-unit prosthetic restorations.

Products discussed in the course: Structur 3, Grandioso HF, Grandtec
Dimanto Polishing System, and Provicol Cement.

william_pDr. William Paveletz, DMD, is a graduate of Temple University School of Dentistry. He completed his AEGD Residency at University of Pittsburgh Dental School and continued postgraduate work in prosthetics at University of Pittsburgh Dental School. He currently is one of VOCO America’s Clinical Educators speaking nationally to dental retailers, various dental societies and teaching institutions. He has a true passion for restorative dentistry with an emphasis on biocompatibility and holistic dentistry. His hands on workshops focus on topics ranging from dental hygiene, esthetic dentistry, fixed and removable prosthetics and nano technology.
