Interdisciplinary Treatment Decisions in Esthetic Dentistry

Successful Esthetic Dentistry is often the result of meticulous Interdisciplinary team planning. An efficient team approach involving Periodontics, Orthodontics, and Implants in support of restorative treatment is based on the mutual understanding and sequencing of each discipline. This presentation will provide a methodical approach to guide the team through the various elective or mandatory treatment options.

Biographic Sketch

Dr. Chiche is Clinical Professor at Augusta University, Dental College of Georgia where he recently completed his 10-year term as the Thomas P. Hinman Endowed Professor in Restorative Dentistry, and Director of the Center for Esthetic & Implant Dentistry. He is a Past President of the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry and is also the author of two textbooks in Esthetic Dentistry published by Quintessence Publishing Co.: “Esthetics of Anterior Fixed Restorations” and “Smile Design – A guide for Clinician, Ceramist and Patient”. He is Emeritus Professor at Louisiana State University, he became in 2009 the first recipient of the Endowed Chair sponsored by the Thomas P. Hinman Dental Society, and he is the 2020 recipient of the Icon Award for Lifetime Achievement in Dentistry of the Seattle Study Club.
